Becoming a paramedic training programs in Oklahoma are offered at most community colleges. A paramedic is in the highest of levels of emergency medical training in Oklahoma.

The levels are:

 

  • Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-B)
  • Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate (EMT-I)
  • Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT-P)

 

 

There are a few colleges including Oklahoma City Community College and Rose State College that offers paramedic training programs. They allow students to earn either a certificate or associate’s degree.

Provided beneath is the curriculum and course length one can expect in the state of Oklahoma:

 

You must complete lower level EMTs before you can enrol in a paramedic training program. After the completion of the paramedic training program. You must successfully complete and pass The NREMT exam. You receive the necessary certification documents in order to complete the Oklahoma EMT License Application – Fill out this form with your NREMT number and attack a copy of your card.

 

The requirements to enrol in paramedic training programs are:

  • You must be qualified EMT-Intermediate and EMT-basic.
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Possess a CPR-card
