Paramedic and EMT training programs in Colorado can be found at Pikes Peak Community College and Front Range Community College.
A paramedic is the highest of level of emergency medical training in Colorado.
The levels are:
To get the basic education required to become a paramedic in Colorado. You must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
In Colorado it is required that all candidates complete an approved EMT course, a practical skills exam and the NREMT (National Registry Exam).
Once you have completed the requirements and the state of Colorado has received confirmation of your completion. You may fill out the Colorado State EMT Certification Packet and submit it. You will have to include a copy of your identity with a recognized I.D. and provide all necessary documentation. You must also possess a CPR-card, which can be acquired at most hospitals or fire departments.
