The levels are:
In order to enrol in paramedic training. You must possess an emt basic and intermediate certificate. You must have passed high school and be at least 18 years of age.
Most EMT training programs are offered through local community colleges or technical schools. All Georgia EMT & Paramedic training programs are certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
Georgia has strict guidelines on the number of coursework hours required for EMT training.
EMT candidates are required to complete clinical assignments in ambulances and hospitals in preparation for the job.
An EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate and EMT-Paramedic training, are required to complete a minimum of eight, 24 and 320 hours of clinical experiences.
Paramedics are also required to complete clinical rotations in several speciality areas.
