Paramedic Training in Louisiana
You can find Paramedic and EMT training programs being offered at Delgado Community College and South Louisiana Community College
To become an EMT or Paramedic in the state of Louisiana one must complete and pass the NREMT exam as well as complete the course program.
Paramedic training requirements are:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a current CPR-Card
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Successfully Completed a EMT basic training program
Passing the NREMT exam will provide you with a NREMT card, in which you will need to send a copy of with your Louisiana EMT Certification Application.
In order to enrol in Paramedic training programs, it is required that you have posses the certifications of lower level EMTs. Such as EMT-basic and EMT-Intermediate.
