If you are looking to become an emt or paramedic in Maryland, you can receive paramedic training at the Community College or choose Prince George’s Community College. Paramedic training can either result in a certificate or an associate degree.
EMT and Paramedic candidates must first complete an EMT or Paramedic course. An EMT must first become certified before they can enrol in paramedic training. After completing the EMT or Paramedic course the candidate must pass a written Maryland state exam as well as a state practical exam. The state of Maryland does not use the NREMT exam, however it does accept the NREMT certificate from another state.
