Massachusetts offer several school which provides paramedic training programs. Such are found at Northeastern University or Quinsigamond Community College.
In order to become a paramedic a student is required to have passed an EMT-Basic course and be licensed. Some states also require you to complete the EMT-intermediate course and become licensed.

Paramedic Training
You can expect to have classroom studies as well as a internship. You will be required to undergo ambulance runs as well as clinical rotations through the internship.
Massachusetts Examination
The exam must be taken at a state approved facility. You must pass the EMT or Paramedic exam in order to become certified and licensed in the state of Massachusetts. It does not utilize the NREMT as many other states.
Re-certification
Students are required to under go 25 hours of training to be re-certified in the state of Massachusetts. You must be re-certified every 2 years to maintain your license.
