You can find paramedic training programs offered at Century College and Inver Hills Community College. The schools will offer an associate’s degrees, diplomas and certificates.

Minnesota uses the NREMT / National Registry Exam to certify and license paramedics and emts.

 

Minnesota EMTs have three levels:

  • EMT-Basic
  • EMT-Intermediate
  • EMT-Paramedic

Each level has its own license and certification – and you must pass the national exam in order to practise in Minnesota.
