After the succesful completion of the training program you must be licensed and certified via the NREMT exam. There are several references are made to the National D.O.T. Curriculum for EMT and Paramedic on the official website. Which makes us believe that the NREMT certification is used as the basis for paramedic licensing in North Carolina. Until we hear otherwise from the state of North Carolina, you may consider this as true.
The NREMT exam consist of a written and practical exam which the candidate must pass in order to become a certified and licensed paramedic in the state of North Carolina.
